Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black aristocrats and devotion strategy helmed by Erebos, Bleak-Hearted. The game plan revolves around generating recurring creature fodder, feeding those creatures into sacrifice outlets, and converting their deaths into card advantage and table-wide life drain. In the early turns, the deck deploys resilient sacrifice fodder such as Reassembling Skeleton, Ophiomancer, and Nine-Lives Familiar. Once Erebos, Bleak-Hearted enters the battlefield, creature deaths draw extra cards at the cost of two life each, fueling continuous hand replenishment. In the mid-to-late game, the deck leverages high black devotion and aristocrats payoffs including Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance, Syr Konrad, the Grim, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel to drain all opponents simultaneously. Mana engines like Nyx Lotus, Gauntlet of Power, and Caged Sun enable large late-game plays, culminating in lethal life loss via Exsanguinate or mass recursion through Funeral Room // Awakening Hall.
