Format: Commander

Commander: Thantis, the Warweaver

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thantis the Warweaver leads a forced-combat and political aggro strategy designed to break open Commander stalemates. By compelling every creature to attack each turn, Thantis turns opponents against each other while growing larger whenever enemies strike your board. You provide opponents with tokens via cards like Hunted Horror and Varchilds War-Riders, incentivize aggression toward others through Curses, and deter incoming swings with defensive staples like Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs and Hornet Nest. You win by converting Thantis into a massive lethal threat, blowing out opposing boards with Chandra's Ignition, stealing entire armies with Insurrection, or sacrificing towering creatures to Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord.
