Format: Commander

Commander: Romana II and The Sixth Doctor

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Bant partner deck pairs The Sixth Doctor with Romana II into a historic-spell and token-copy value engine. The Sixth Doctor copies the first historic spell (artifacts, legendaries, or Sagas) cast each turn, while Romana turns any token that entered this turn into an extra tapped copy. The 99 backs this with dense clone effects (Spark Double, Flesh Duplicate, Clever Impersonator, Quantum Misalignment), token doublers (Adrix and Nev, Twincasters, Exalted Sunborn, Esix, Fractal Bloom), and Saga payoffs such as City of Death. Primary wins come from overwhelming combat via doubled token armies or Koma, World-Eater coils; secondary lines leverage ability-copiers (Lithoform Engine, Adric, Mathematical Genius, Peter Parker's Camera) and legend-rule breakers (Mirror Box, Council of Reeds). The deck plays as a midrange value pile that snowballs once both commanders and a doubler are online.
