Deck overview

This Gruul deck is an aggressive midrange shell helmed by Kibo, Uktabi Prince that weaponizes artifact destruction into explosive creature growth. The primary game plan revolves around accelerating Kibo into play, distributing Banana artifact tokens to all players, and then systematically destroying those tokens alongside opposing mana rocks and Treasures. Each destroyed artifact triggers Kibo, placing +1/+1 counters onto your Ape and Monkey creatures. Counter enhancers like Branching Evolution and Hardened Scales rapidly turn small primates into lethal beaters, while card engines such as Viridian Revel and Terrasymbiosis provide massive card flow from opponents cracking or losing artifacts. Once a dominant board is established, the deck closes the game through trample-enabled combat, Triumph of the Hordes, or direct burn from All Will Be One. The list pairs heavy proactive resource denial against artifact-reliant decks with resilient protection spells like Heroic Intervention, creating a fast, compounding clock.
