Deck overview

This mono-black deck blends a resilient Zombie tribal core with an aristocrats drain engine, piloted by Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. The primary strategy focuses on curving out synergistic Zombie threats and card-advantage engines like The One Ring, Cryptbreaker, and Necropotence during the first four turns. Once Sheoldred enters the battlefield, she converts the deck's self-damaging draw engines into massive lifegain while severely penalizing opponents for drawing cards. The midgame leverages high-impact devotion and death triggers from Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Ayara, First of Locthwain, and Syr Konrad, the Grim alongside Grave Pact to control opposing boards. Mass reanimation spells such as Zombie Apocalypse and Rise of the Dark Realms ensure rapid recovery after sweepers, allowing the deck to overwhelm the table with a swarm of buffed, recursive Zombies and unstoppable life drain.
