Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai stax and pillowfort control deck led by Pramikon, Sky Rampart. Its core strategy constricts the tempo of the game and directs combat away from you while assembling an alternate win condition. Early turns focus on accelerating with mana rocks like Arcane Signet and laying down persistent taxing permanents such as Archon of Emeria, Ghostly Prison, and Sphere of Resistance. Pramikon, Sky Rampart forces all combat in a single direction, effectively shielding your life total from multiple aggressive opponents. While opponents navigate combat taxes, enter-tapped effects, and spell limits, you dig toward Approach of the Second Sun. After casting Approach for the first time on Turn 7, the deck relies on its defensive grid, countermagic, and sweepers like Farewell to survive four turn cycles before recasting Approach to secure victory. The deck excels at controlling table pacing but requires careful mana management to hold up interaction while deploying expensive control pieces.
