Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Zombie tribal strategy commanded by Varina, Lich Queen. The early game focuses on deploying efficient low-mana Zombies such as Champion of the Perished, Wayward Servant, and Cryptbreaker. Once Varina enters combat, she converts every attacking Zombie into card filtering, graveyard setup, and life gain, while exiling spent cards to generate additional 2/2 Zombie tokens. In the mid-game, the deck stacks powerful lords including Death Baron, Undead Warchief, and Diregraf Captain to grant evasion, deathtouch, and lethal aristocrat drain. High-end engines such as The Scarab God, Necroduality, and Rooftop Storm ensure continuous board presence, while mass recursion like Zombie Apocalypse provides resilience against sweepers. The deck wins by overwhelming opponents through wide, evasive combat damage and recurring life loss.
