Deck overview

This Queen Marchesa deck plays a defensive Mardu aikido control strategy. It introduces the monarch mechanic early to draw extra cards, then builds a pillowfort using cards like Ghostly Prison, Windborn Muse, and Crawlspace. Attack deterrents such as Michiko Konda and Emberwilde Captain make attacking you costly. Forced combat cards like Disrupt Decorum and Nelly Borca turn opposing creatures against one another. Meanwhile, Court enchantments like Court of Grace and Court of Ambition apply steady, asymmetric pressure by draining life and building an aerial army. The deck protects its life total with aikido combat tricks like Deflecting Palm, then closes the game with Gisela, Blade of Goldnight or a one-sided wipe in Ruinous Ultimatum.
