Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Villain kindred midrange build led by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. It focuses on curving out aggressive and utility Villains, utilizing Doom's beginning-of-combat connive trigger to systematically sculpt your hand, grow your attackers with +1/+1 counters, and burn opponents whenever lands are discarded. The early game focuses on deploying mana rocks and low-cost Villains such as Prowler, Clawed Thief and Baron Strucker, HYDRA Overlord. By Turn 4, Doctor Doom enters the battlefield to immediately start filtering draws and applying evasive combat pressure. Mid-game turns compound this advantage with discard synergies like Bone Miser, token generators like Ultron, Unlimited, and anthem effects like The Squadron Sinister. The deck lacks infinite combos, fast mana, or hard stax locks, seeking victory through wide evasive combat and persistent burn across multiple turns. While resilient to commander removal due to a low mana curve and broad redundancy, it remains vulnerable to board wipes and instant-speed stack interaction.
