Deck overview

This Dimir control and aristocrats deck is commanded by Vren, the Relentless, turning symmetric edict effects into asymmetric resource advantage. Vren's static ability replaces all opposing creature deaths with exile, completely shutting down opposing graveyard strategies and death triggers. In exchange, Vren creates a swarm of Relentless Rat tokens at each end step scaled to the number of exiled creatures. The deck leverages dense sacrifice creatures like Plaguecrafter, Accursed Marauder, and Fleshbag Marauder to continuously empty opposing boards while simultaneously building a lethal, exponentially growing army of Rats. Stax elements such as Back to Basics, Braids, Cabal Minion, and Archfiend of Depravity restrict opponent mana and board development, while cheap protection spells like Undying Malice and Shore Up keep Vren safe. The deck steadily grinds down opposing life totals and finishes the table through overwhelming combat damage or drain engines.
