Deck overview

This Gruul Dragon tribal deck uses the commander pair Ganax, Astral Hunter and Acolyte of Bahamut to build a powerful mana and combat engine. Acolyte of Bahamut reduces the casting cost of your first Dragon spell each turn by two generic mana, allowing Ganax to enter early on Turn 4. Once on the battlefield, Ganax generates a Treasure token whenever a Dragon enters, fueling explosive multi-spell turns and accelerating massive flying threats. The deck capitalizes on power-based card draw engines like Garruk's Uprising and Guardian Project to maintain hand velocity while deploying game-ending Dragons such as Atarka, World Render, Utvara Hellkite, and Scourge of Valkas. It also features an infinite token loop between Ganax and Draconic Visitor. The strategy finishes games by overwhelming opponents with high-damage aerial assaults and direct Dragon damage triggers.
