Deck overview

This Gruul partner deck pairs Tana, the Bloodsower with Jeska, Thrice Reborn to execute an aggressive combat strategy that blends single-target Voltron eliminations with wide token swarms. Tana creates Saprolings equal to the combat damage she deals, while Jeska's zero-loyalty ability triples that damage to turn modest attacks into game-ending strikes. Simple stat boosts from equipment like Belt of Giant Strength or +1/+1 counters push Tana over the 21-commander-damage threshold to knock out an opponent in a single hit. In turn, high combat damage creates dozens of Saprolings that fuel overrun finishers like Overwhelming Stampede and Beastmaster Ascension, or burn opponents directly through Purphoros, God of the Forge. While the deck develops rapidly on curve, it carries very little reactive interaction, prioritizing proactive aggression and combat multiplication over control.
