Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir control and proliferation engine designed to dominate the board through Toxrill, the Corrosive. The primary strategy focuses on accelerating mana rapidly via fast rituals like Dark Ritual and Cabal Ritual, alongside mana doublers like Crypt Ghast and Lake of the Dead, to cast Toxrill by Turn 4 or 5. Once on the battlefield, Toxrill places slime counters on every opposing creature at each end step, applying an escalating -1/-1 penalty that clears utility creatures and builds a massive army of 1/1 Slug tokens. The deck amplifies this oppression with nonlegendary clone effects like Sakashima of a Thousand Faces and Irenicus's Vile Duplication, alongside hard locks like Maha, Its Feathers Night and Sludge Monster. Proliferate engines accelerate counter growth while draining life totals with Scheming Aspirant and drawing cards with Toxrill's activated ability, closing out the game through overwhelming combat damage and severe resource denial.
