Deck overview

This Grixis (UBR) spell-slinger deck is helmed by Fire Lord Azula, a four-mana 4/4 that generates two red mana whenever it attacks and copies any spell you cast while it's attacking. The deck's primary game plan is to deploy Azula early, attack to produce ritual mana, then chain instants and sorceries into a massive storm turn - copying those spells with Azula's ability, Dualcaster Mage, Reiterate, or Twinning Staff to overwhelm opponents. The win condition is either direct damage via Crackle with Power or Guttersnipe/Ashling, Flame Dancer pings, or an infinite mana loop (Peregrine Drake + Ghostly Flicker + Archaeomancer; or Dualcaster Mage + Reiterate with buyback on a ritual) that feeds a finisher. The deck leans heavily on its commander's attack to jump-start the chain, but contains enough redundancy in copy effects and rituals to function without her.
