Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari attrition and midrange strategy helmed by Agent Frank Horrigan. The game plan revolves around placing -1/-1 counters on opposing creatures to systematically shrink and dismantle opposing boards while triggering powerful synergies from cards like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Obelisk Spider, and Massacre Girl, Known Killer. Once an operational board presence is established, casting Agent Frank Horrigan triggers double proliferate both on entry and attack, rapidly escalating poison counters, loyalty, and -1/-1 counters. Asymmetric locks such as Maha, Its Feathers Night combined with wither effects or Carnifex Demon prevent opponents from maintaining creatures, while Leyline of the Void shuts down graveyard strategies. The deck converts this overwhelming board control into victory through commander combat damage, a wide swarm of deathtouch Snake tokens, and cumulative life drain, finishing the table by Turn 8.
