Deck overview

This Golgari deck transforms Kraven the Hunter into a lethal predatory threat by hunting the largest creatures across the table. Supported by dense one-mana acceleration like Birds of Paradise and Wild Growth, the deck deploys Kraven on Turn 2 and begins triggering his card-draw and counter-growth ability on Turn 3. An extensive suite of targeted fight spells and apex-focused edicts such as Extract a Confession, Consumed by Greed, and Soul Shatter repeatedly removes the greatest-power creatures each opponent controls. This simultaneously clears the path and accelerates Kraven's power. By Turn 5, Kraven reaches lethal combat thresholds or threatens immediate player elimination through Tainted Strike, Ram Through, and The Skullspore Nexus. Dense, low-cost protection spells like Tamiyo's Safekeeping and Heroic Intervention shield Kraven during his assault. Backup beaters like Vincent Valentine // Galian Beast and Super Shredder ensure relentless pressure if Kraven faces disruption.
