Deck overview

This Simic landfall deck is commanded by Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait, aiming to generate overwhelming mana and card advantage through redundant land-drop enablers and fetchland interactions. The early game focuses on accelerating mana with low-cost ramp such as Exploration, Burgeoning, and Lotus Cobra to deploy Aesi by Turn 4. Once established, Aesi draws multiple cards each turn, rapidly churning through the library into high-impact landfall threats. On Turn 5, the deck transitions into critical onset by resolving token generators like Avenger of Zendikar and Scute Swarm or overwhelming spells like Genesis Wave. The game closes on Turn 6 via wide overrun attacks powered by Craterhoof Behemoth or scaled counters from Bristly Bill, Spine Sower. While the deck boasts format-ceiling card draw and robust engine recovery, it is vulnerable to board wipes and fast combo strategies due to a near-total absence of reactive countermagic and instant removal.
