Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Rakdos combo and burn deck designed around Smaug the Impenetrable. The primary game plan focuses on deploying Smaug ahead of curve using early mana rocks, rituals, and treasure engines, then leveraging Smaug's indestructible body by targeting him with massive noncombat damage spells such as Blasphemous Act, Star of Extinction, or Chain Lightning. This converts incoming damage into an immediate stockpile of 13 to 20+ Treasure tokens while simultaneously clearing the opposing battlefield. The deck then channels this massive mana surge into game-ending finishers like Torment of Hailfire, Exsanguinate, or token-drain triggers from Mirkwood Bats and Nadier's Nightblade, eliminating the entire table in a single explosive turn. In addition, the deck includes a compact two-card loop between Chain Lightning and Smaug the Impenetrable that generates arbitrary Treasure tokens and damage triggers, supported by robust redirection spells and damage-reflecting backup creatures.
