Deck overview

This Captain Sisay deck is a Selesnya toolbox hatebear strategy that leverages its commander to search for silver-bullet answers, robust protection, and decisive win conditions directly from the library. The early game accelerates through 1-mana mana dorks to deploy Sisay or early disruptive creatures like Collector Ouphe and Thalia on Turns 2 and 3. By Turn 4, Sisay begins tutoring specific answers tailored to opposing strategies, from Gaddock Teeg and Archon of Emeria against combo to Kataki against artifact heavy boards. On Turn 5, the deck transitions into an offensive lock by casting Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite or Archon of Valor's Reach. These high-end legendary permanents decimate opposing boards and seal off interaction, enabling a lethal combat finish by Turn 7.
