Deck overview

This mono-red Commander deck is a Dragon tribal stompy deck led by Lathliss, Dragon Queen. The primary strategy focuses on deploying early artifact ramp and tribal cost reducers to cast Lathliss on Turn 5. Once Lathliss is on the battlefield, casting additional Dragons generates 5/5 flying Dragon tokens, quickly creating a dominant aerial presence. Damage multipliers and burst triggers from cards like Terror of Mount Velus, Scourge of Valkas, and Dragon Tempest convert token generation into immediate damage. While the deck possesses explosive combat power and resilient standalone threats like Utvara Hellkite and Drakuseth, Maw of Flames, it lacks countermagic and hard protection spells, leaving it vulnerable to targeted removal and board wipes. Card velocity relies on impulse draw and synergy artifacts rather than burst draw, making consistent early mana development essential for victory.
