Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet artifact cheat strategy centered on Jhoira, Ageless Innovator. Jhoira enters on turn two and taps to place ingenuity counters, letting you cheat increasingly expensive artifacts directly onto the battlefield without paying mana. A dense suite of untap enablers, including Sting, the Glinting Dagger, Aphetto Alchemist, and Vizier of Tumbling Sands, accelerates counter accumulation. By turn five, the deck cheats massive threats like Blightsteel Colossus, Krang, Utrom Warlord, and Triplicate Titan into play to close out the game through combat damage. Heavy artifact-scaling draw spells like One with the Machine and Traverse Eternity refill your hand with fresh payoffs. The list also features a robust protection package composed of efficient countermagic, phasing spells, and hexproof granters. If Jhoira is removed, backup enablers like Master Transmuter ensure your high-cost artifacts still enter the battlefield on schedule.
