Bracket 4 Smaug the Impenetrable by user3924027

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Smaug the Impenetrable is the engine and finisher: the deck repeatedly damages it with spells like Pestilence, Pyrohemia, Cut Propulsion, or Self-Destruct, converting that damage into Treasure tokens. Those Treasures are then converted into lethal Torment of Hailfire, Crackle with Power, or Banefire, or into drain triggers from Reckless Fireweaver, Mirkwood Bats, and Marionette Apprentice. Backup paths use Barbed Servitor + Blazing Sunsteel and Brash Taunter/Stuffy Doll damage mirrors. Smaug the Magnificent and Smaug, Wicked Worm provide a secondary 'Smaug package' if the commander is unavailable. There is no double-faced commander; no hidden commander is required.
