Hosts of Mordor (LOTR UPGRADE) by GrinningWombat

Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Sauron, the Dark Lord helms a Grixis midrange and combat deck that leverages Amass and Ring-bearer synergies to dominate the board and churn through the library. Sauron punishes opponent actions by continuously amassing an Orc Army and wheels your hand into four fresh cards whenever an Army connects. The primary path to victory is overwhelming combat damage using massive Orc Armies, evasive legendary threats, and extra combat phases from Scourge of the Throne and Desert Were-Worm. Secondary win conditions include burn from The Great Goblin and Fiery Inscription, paired with reanimating massive bombs like Sauron, Lord of the Rings.
