Deck overview

This deck is a highly synergistic Rakdos noncombat-damage control deck helmed by Kazarov, Sengir Pureblood. The primary game plan revolves around pinging opponent creatures with mass-damage effects like Pyrohemia, Pestilence, and Crypt Rats, triggering Kazarov's +1/+1 counters while also fueling Repercussion and Toralf, God of Fury for chain-reaction kills. The deck excels at turning small damage into massive board advantage through damage doublers like Solphim, Mayhem Dominus and Mayhem Devil, and can close out games with Heartless Hidetsugu plus Solphim for a one-shot life-total check, or through Chandra's Ignition on a large creature. A robust recursion package (Reanimate, Rakdos Joins Up, Takenuma, Abandoned Mire) and a dense draw suite (Necropotence, Black Market Connections) ensure the deck can rebuild after wipes and maintain pressure.
