Commander: Rendmaw, Creaking Nest

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Golgari deck helmed by Rendmaw, Creaking Nest is a midrange value engine that leverages the commander's ability to create goaded 2/2 flying Bird tokens whenever you play a card with two or more card types. The deck is packed with artifact creatures, kindred instants/enchantments, and enchantment creatures-every card with multiple card types triggers Rendmaw. The goaded tokens pressure opponents while you amass value through artifact recursion (Glissa, the Traitor, Scrap Trawler, Myr Retriever) and flexible removal. Win conditions are incremental: combat damage from tokens and big beaters, Blood Artist triggers, and mass-drain effects like Massacre Wurm. There are no infinite combos; the deck grinds out victories through superior board presence and recursion.
