Deck overview

Tannuk, Steadfast Second is the deck's central engine. Once deployed, it lets red creatures and artifacts from hand use a three-mana warp cost, and it gives the resulting creatures haste. The strongest ordinary line is to reach Tannuk on turn 4 or 5, warp a large threat, then transition into expensive creatures that remain on the battlefield. Metalwork Colossus, Avatar of Slaughter, Combustible Gearhulk, and the Dragons provide the largest bursts of pressure. The deck also uses landfall damage, forced attacks, temporary card access, and symmetrical damage effects to make combat more favorable. Its main limitation is that warp exiles the permanent at the next end step, so early attacks do not build a lasting board. The deck has useful removal and some card draw, but little protection, weak tutoring, and no reliable compact finish. It is a casual-to-mid-power battlecruiser strategy rather than a competitive combo or control deck.
