Deck overview

This Grixis deck is built around Sauron, Lord of the Rings as a costly haymaker: its cast trigger amasses Orcs 5, mills five, and returns a creature from the graveyard to the battlefield, creating an immediate board. In the 99, Sauron, the Dark Lord acts as a hidden second commander, turning Armies and Ring tempts into massive card draw. The primary plan is amass/Wraith beatdown with trample and haste, supported by reanimation loops (Living Death, Reanimate, Victimize) and a Lord of the Nazgul token engine. Secondary paths include stealing creatures via In the Darkness Bind Them, pinging with Mount Doom, and draining with One Ring to Rule Them All. The commander accelerates the board but is not a dedicated engine.
