Secret Lair Chaos by Chains96

Format: Commander

Commander: Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign leads an Esper sphinx/odd-mana value deck. The primary plan is to land Yennett by turns 4-5, use Sensei's Divining Top, Soothsaying, Doom Whisperer, and similar effects to arrange odd-mana bombs on top, then attack to cast them for free. Secondary paths use the other odd-CMC flyers, theft effects, and blink/value engines such as Aminatou, the Fateshifter and Inniaz, the Gale Force. There is no deterministic combo; the only true win condition is Approach of the Second Sun cast from hand twice. Without Yennett the deck becomes a generic flyers/removal pile, so most games need her attack trigger at least once to establish a winning board.
