Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Aristocrats engine helmed by Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim. The primary strategy focuses on assembling a resilient triangular engine of token generators, sacrifice outlets, and life-drain payoffs. The low mana cost of Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim guarantees access to a death-trigger drain outlet from the command zone as early as turn 2. Supported by token generators such as Skrelv's Hive, Ophiomancer, and Dreadhorde Invasion, the deck establishes incremental life swings early before scaling up into explosive midgame turns. Key force multipliers like Teysa Karlov and Astarion, the Decadent double the output of death triggers and life loss, while mass token spells like Blot Out the Sky and White Sun's Twilight reset the battlefield or generate lethal board presence. While the list lacks fast mana and dedicated tutors, its deep redundancy in drain effects and robust creature protection allows it to grind out opponents through inevitable attrition.
