Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos spellslinger and Wizard-tribal burn strategy commanded by Kuja, Genome Sorcerer // Trance Kuja, Fate Defied. The primary objective is assembling a critical mass of Wizard creatures and burn triggers, transforming Kuja into Trance Kuja, Fate Defied to double all Wizard damage, and rapidly depleting all opponents' life totals through a flurry of low-cost noncreature spells. Mana velocity is fueled by efficient two-mana artifacts, rituals like Dark Ritual and Seething Song, and mana engines like Storm-Kiln Artist. Redundant pingers such as Coruscation Mage, Guttersnipe, and Fiery Inscription, paired with damage amplifiers like Solphim, Mayhem Dominus and City on Fire, ensure consistent pressure even without the commander. The deck interacts through versatile removal spells like Bedevil, Abrade, and Blasphemous Act that trigger its own burn engines. While vulnerable to creature sweepers and lacking stack-based countermagic, its high card velocity and redundant threat density enable swift recovery and decisive mid-game finishes around Turn 6.
