Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a synergistic -1/-1 counter deck helmed by The Reaper, King No More, a Jund commander that spreads -1/-1 counters on entry and steals creatures that die with them. The deck leans heavily into wither, proliferate, and the +1/+1 / -1/-1 counter overlap to generate value and control the board. It combines classic -1/-1 all-stars like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, and Nest of Scarabs with proliferate engines such as Evolution Sage and Staff of Compleation to turn small pings into grinding inevitability. The primary win path is through infinite mana via Devoted Druid + Channeler Initiate or a sacrifice/draw loop with Yawgmoth and Nest of Scarabs, finishing with All Will Be One or a Kulrath Knight + Maha, Its Feathers Night combat lock. The deck's resilience and recursion are strong, but its lack of reliable tutors and counterspells limits its speed and consistency.
