Deck overview

Phelddagrif is the political face of a Bant mana-combo deck, but the actual engine is the untap package: Argothian Elder, Ley Weaver, or Krosan Restorer plus Pemmin's Aura/Freed from the Real and Overgrowth (or another mana multiplier) generate infinite mana. Questing Phelddagrif is the hidden commander and mana sink. The deck slows the table with pillowfort and group-draw, then wins by creating infinite Hippo tokens under opponents and finishing with Angel's Trumpet, by making Questing Phelddagrif huge, or by looping Approach of the Second Sun with Endless Detour and Windfall. All nonland spells are MV3+, matching its companion curve and making almost every topdeck either playable or useful late.
