Deck overview

This Golgari deck leverages efficient low-cost deathtouch creatures combined with The Serpent Society to dominate the battlefield through combat pressure and attrition. Cheap deathtouchers turn low-cost fight and bite spells like Bushwhack and Prey Upon into hard removal. Whenever your deathtouch creatures die in trades or removal, the commander punishes opponents by forcing each of them to sacrifice a nontoken creature, breaking combat symmetry. The deck accelerates its clock into lethal range using Fynn, the Fangbearer to apply poison counters rapidly, or by casting overrun finishers like Triumph of the Hordes and Craterhoof Behemoth. Support cards like Ohran Frostfang and Black Widow, Deadly Hunter keep your hand full of threats, while recursion spells like Reanimate and Victimize ensure swift recovery from sweepers. Overall, the deck delivers steady combat pressure, punishing blockers while dismantling opposing creature boards.
