Deck overview

This Golgari deck utilizes Blech, Loafing Pest as a typal engine that converts every lifegain trigger into +1/+1 counters across Pests, Bats, Insects, Snakes, and Spiders. Supported by dense low-cost ramp, the deck rapidly establishes its commander and pairs it with token generators such as Eccentric Pestfinder // Turn Stones, Springleaf Parade, and Lluwen, Exchange Student // Pest Friend. Incidental lifegain from Food artifacts, attack triggers, and ETB effects quickly swells small tokens into formidable threats. Late-game pressure scales through powerful high-end engines like Beledros Witherbloom, South Wind Avatar, and Bolas's Citadel, while Triumph of the Hordes and Root Manipulation push through combat damage to close out games over multiple combat cycles. While vulnerable to creature sweepers and lacking universal tutors, the list maintains high internal redundancy.
