Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Aristocrats and Vampire tribal strategy commanded by Carmen, Cruel Skymarcher. The plan centers on deploying low-curve sacrifice outlets, resilient token generators, and incremental drain permanents during the opening turns. Carmen enters on Turn 4, capitalizing on every sacrifice across the table to rapidly grow in power and gain life. Starting on Turn 5, Carmen's attack trigger provides recursive engine velocity, pulling key permanents like Accursed Marauder, Elenda, the Dusk Rose, or Bastion of Remembrance directly from the graveyard to the battlefield. The deck steadily depletes opponents' life totals through redundant death triggers from Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, and Marionette Apprentice, enhanced by Teysa Karlov. A compact two-card infinite combo featuring Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Exquisite Blood provides a direct alternative win condition, supported by the raw card advantage of Bolas's Citadel and Skullclamp.
