Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis midrange strategy centered on Kefka, Court Mage. It leverages symmetrical discard effects to systematically deplete opposing resources while breaking parity through Kefka's multi-draw trigger. Early turns focus on establishing two-mana artifact ramp to cast Kefka ahead of curve on turn 4. Once assembled, the deck uses blink spells like Displacer Kitten and Ghostly Flicker alongside attack triggers to force repeated discards across the table. Powerful payoffs convert these discards into commanding advantages: Tergrid, God of Fright steals discarded permanents, Archfiend of Ifnir wipes opposing boards with -1/-1 counters, and Waste Not produces mana, card advantage, and zombie tokens. As opponents enter topdeck mode, life totals are rapidly closed out through direct damage from Psychosis Crawler, continuous upkeep drain from Bandit's Talent and Shrieking Affliction, and combat damage from large evasive threats.
