Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Wheel Storm and Token Burn list helmed by Xyris, the Writhing Storm. The primary strategy uses dense 0–1 CMC mana acceleration to deploy Xyris on Turn 3, followed by resolving a wheel spell such as Wheel of Fortune, Windfall, or Timetwister on Turn 4. Forcing each opponent to draw seven cards triggers Xyris to create 21 green Snake tokens at once. When paired with entry burn permanents like Purphoros, God of the Forge, Impact Tremors, or Agate Instigator, these tokens instantly deal 21 to 42 damage to each opponent. Alternatively, Phyrexian Altar converts the Snake tokens into 21 mana of any color, allowing the deck to chain additional wheels, draw through its library, or tutor Craterhoof Behemoth and Finale of Devastation for a same-turn combat win. Free protection spells and uncounterable mana protect the combo from enemy interaction.
