Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Zombie tribal aristocrats build helmed by Mikaeus, the Unhallowed. Its primary strategy revolves around establishing early Zombie presence, leveraging sacrifice outlets like Carrion Feeder and Ayara, First of Locthwain, and drawing dense card advantage through Skullclamp and Undead Augur. The mid-game focuses on building a wide board of tokens with Diregraf Colossus and Headless Rider while chipping away at opposing life totals. The late-game transitions into decisive board states using Mikaeus, the Unhallowed to give the army undying, dropping massive devotion drains with Gray Merchant of Asphodel, or resolving game-ending mass recursion spells like Living Death and Patriarch's Bidding. While the deck excels at creature attrition and rebuilding from the graveyard, its low land count of 29 requires careful mulligans, and it remains vulnerable to graveyard exile and exile-based board wipes.
