Deck overview

Myrkul, Lord of Bones commands an Abzan midrange deck that fuses aristocrats sacrifice synergies with an enchantress engine. The primary game plan accelerates mana on turns 1–3 through a dense package of one- and two-drop mana dorks like Birds of Paradise, Delighted Halfling, and Sanctum Weaver. On turn 4, the deck deploys Myrkul, Lord of Bones or sets up creature tutor chains via Birthing Pod and Fiend Artisan. Once Myrkul is established, nontoken creatures sacrificed to outlets such as Yawgmoth, Thran Physician and Warren Soultrader return as noncreature enchantment tokens, dodging creature sweepers and single-target removal. This converts stax and utility pieces—like Drana and Linvala and Doomwake Giant—into permanent, untouchable board locks while triggering constellation engines like Eidolon of Blossoms.
