Deck overview

Tovolar, Dire Overlord leads a Gruul Werewolf aggro deck whose engine is combat: each Wolf or Werewolf that hits draws a card, and three or more of them force night, flipping Human Werewolves to stronger backs. The primary path is to assemble a wide wolf board with token producers, then win through anthems such as Unnatural Growth, Beastmaster Ascension, and Shared Animosity. Tovolar's Midnight Scourge face adds a repeatable trample/pump for the final push. Secondary value comes from Garruk and Xenagos, while Full Moon's Rise and Heroic Intervention protect the army. There is no hidden commander; the deck is built around the front face's draw and night engine, with the back-face pump as the finishing tool.
