Deck overview

This deck leverages Golbez, Crystal Collector to combine artifact acceleration with graveyard recursion and direct life drain. In the early game, cheap artifact mana rocks, artifact lands, and token producers like Sai, Master Thopterist build a wide board state. Golbez surveils cards into the graveyard whenever artifacts enter. Once four artifacts are in play, Golbez returns creature cards to hand every end step. Reaching eight artifacts turns this engine into a severe burn clock by draining each opponent for the power of the returned creature. Cards like Metalwork Colossus and Apocalypse Demon provide massive power values to drain 10 or more life per turn cycle. The deck supports this game plan with efficient Dimir spot removal, counterspells, and one-sided sweepers like Their Name Is Death and Desynchronization, grinding out opponents through unblockable combat damage and recurring end-step life loss.
