Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking is a BUG elfball deck that builds a wide board of Elf tokens, turns them into mana with Priest of Titania, Elvish Archdruid, and Marwyn, then finishes with Craterhoof Behemoth or Overwhelming Stampede. The commander is a mid-game value engine: it draws two cards whenever another legendary Elf enters and, once key Elves are in the graveyard, gains their activated abilities. Lathril, Blade of the Elves acts as the hidden commander; Buried Alive puts her in the bin so Thranduil can use her tap-ten-Elves drain as an alternate kill. The deck also runs a compact Staff of Domination infinite-mana line and +1/+1 counter synergies that make every Elf a threat.
