Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic toughness-based aggressive build led by Arcades, the Strategist. The primary strategy deploys low-cost defender creatures with exceptionally high toughness, such as Wall of Omens, Wall of Denial, and Shield Sphere. Once Arcades, the Strategist hits the battlefield, these defensive walls turn into efficient cantrips and formidable attackers that deal combat damage equal to their toughness. Mana acceleration from Overgrown Battlement and Axebane Guardian allows the deck to flood the board quickly, drawing multiple cards each turn. The deck finishes games by overwhelming opponents through sheer combat damage, amplified by evasion from Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive, instant-speed pumps like Tower Defense, or asymmetric board wipes like Slaughter the Strong. Redundant enablers like High Alert and Assault Formation ensure the deck can continue attacking even if the commander is removed.
