Commander: Ertai Resurrected

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Dimir flash-control deck helmed by Ertai Resurrected, built to dominate both the stack and the battlefield at instant speed. The commander's ETB - counter a spell or destroy a creature/planeswalker, each with a cantrip - is the deck's engine, and a robust blink package (Ghostly Flicker, Illusionist's Stratagem, Blur, Siren's Ruse, Planar Incision, Teferi's Time Twist, Nephalia Smuggler) re-triggers it turn after turn. Flash payoffs like Slitherwisp and Cunning Nightbonder reward the instant-speed game plan, while Candlekeep Sage turns every commander cast into a card. The primary win condition is the self-mill combo of Leveler with Laboratory Maniac or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries; secondary paths include grinding out with Talrand, Sky Summoner drakes and Thief of Sanity theft. The deck plays a patient, reactive game, holding up mana and answering threats before assembling its compact combo.
