Deck overview

This deck executes a focused Sultai big-mana strategy led by Zaxara, the Exemplary. By combining dense early green ramp with Zaxara's two-mana tap ability, the deck rapidly ramps into high-impact spells containing {X} in their mana costs. Every X-spell cast creates a scaling Hydra token, doubling the board presence generated from single cards. Counter multipliers such as Unbound Flourishing, Doubling Season, and Branching Evolution accelerate board growth exponentially. The deck converts this massive mana surplus into game-ending threats by casting game-winning finishers like Finale of Devastation, Torment of Hailfire, or by attacking with unblockable Hydra armies enabled by Herald of Secret Streams. Robust defensive interaction, including Heroic Intervention, Silkguard, and Tyvar's Stand, protects key permanents from opposing sweepers while simultaneously advancing the deck's proactive counter game plan.
