Deck overview

This competitive Rakdos deck is an explosive turbo-reanimator list designed to execute fast, deterministic combo victories as early as Turn 2. Commanded by Evereth, Viceroy of Plunder, the deck utilizes the commander as an accessible, cost-effective sacrifice outlet in the command zone. The primary game plan centers on entombing and reanimating Hoarding Broodlord, which convokes Saw in Half to split into two token copies that tutor for Buried Alive and Victimize. This sequence places Gev, Scaled Scorch and Murderous Redcap onto the battlefield, creating an infinite damage loop through persist counter cancellation and sacrifice triggers. Redundant win conditions include the classic Worldgorger Dragon infinite mana loop and Dualcaster Mage with Saw in Half. Backed by format-ceiling fast mana, unconditional black tutors, and disruptive protection like Deflecting Swat, Defense Grid, and Trinisphere, the deck pairs blistering closing speed with potent proactive denial.
