Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a mono-black aristocrats deck helmed by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER, a commander that transforms into Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel after enough creatures have died in a single turn. The deck's primary game plan is to generate a steady stream of bodies (tokens from Bitterblossom, Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, Sengir Autocrat, etc.), sacrifice them to outlets like Viscera Seer or Yawgmoth, Thran Physician for value, and drain the table via Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, or Bastion of Remembrance. The goal is to assemble an infinite death loop-most commonly Gravecrawler plus a sacrifice outlet (Phyrexian Altar or Ashnod's Altar) plus a drain trigger-or overwhelm with Bolas's Citadel and mass life loss. The commander provides card draw on entry/attack and a transformation that gives an emblem of drain, but the deck's core engine runs independently of her.
