Deck overview

This deck is a classic Grixis Wheels and Group Slug strategy built around Nekusar, the Mindrazer. The game plan revolves around turning the mandatory card-draw engine of the game into a lethal weapon. By deploying Nekusar alongside redundant pingers such as Underworld Dreams and Razorkin Needlehead, the deck weaponizes every card opponents draw. The engine accelerates rapidly through symmetrical wheel effects including Windfall, Wheel and Deal, and Commit // Memory, forcing opponents to discard and draw large hands while suffering massive bursts of burn damage. Damage multipliers like Bloodletter of Aclazotz and Dictate of the Twin Gods, along with infect via Phyresis, dramatically shorten the clock from incremental attrition to sudden table-wide elimination. Supported by passive lockdown tools like Teferi's Puzzle Box and defensive barriers such as Propaganda, the deck creates relentless pressure. While vulnerable to creature removal and giving opponents fresh cards, its dense redundancy ensures persistent threat generation.
