Format: Commander

Commander: Sarulf, Realm Eater

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Sarulf, Realm Eater leads a Golgari midrange strategy centered on sacrifice triggers, +1/+1 counter distribution, and board-controlling combat. Sarulf acts as both a growing beatstick and an on-demand reset button, eating opposing permanents to exile cheap nonland permanents across the table. The supporting cast combines aggressive Wolf tribal synergies, forced sacrifice effects like Eradicator Valkyrie and Sheoldred's Edict, and steady card advantage from Phyrexian Arena and Jenova, Ancient Calamity. The primary path to victory is grinding down opposing resources, clearing blocker paths with Sarulf or targeted removal, and closing the game through massive combat damage powered by Garruk Wildspeaker, Synchronized Charge, and high-power Wolf attackers.
