Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Artifact Aristocrats build led by Ashnod the Uncaring. The strategy centers on generating disposable artifact and creature tokens using engines like Oni-Cult Anvil, Third Path Iconoclast, and Black Market Connections. It then sacrifices these tokens through outlets such as Warren Soultrader, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, and Spawning Pit to trigger punishing drain effects from Marionette Apprentice, Marionette Master, and Bastion of Remembrance. Ashnod doubles non-mana activated abilities that require sacrifices, amplifying card draw, token generation, and creature reanimation. The deck features a robust interaction suite with cheap counterspells and efficient removal to disrupt opposing threats while executing its plan. Without relying on infinite combos or fast mana, the deck wins through inevitable table-wide life drain and combat chip damage, grinding opponents out over several turn cycles while maintaining strong graveyard recursion.
